    The focus of our courses is on Residential Interior Decorating
    Basics of Design – the elements and principles of design
    Color & Schemes – the variables of color and developing color schemes
    Lighting Applications – the types, application and selection for the various styles
    Background Coverings – types, application and selection of ceiling, wall and floor coverings 
    Decorating Fabrics – natural and synthetic fabrics and pattern mixing
    Window Coverings – hard and soft coverings, hardware and measuring
    Furniture Selection – casegoods and upholstery
    Décor Accents – functional and aesthetic, emphasis on selection and application
    Period & Country Styles – the elements that comprise specific styles throughout history
    Modern and Eclectic Styles – the affects of development of products over the past 100 years
    Residential Architecture – defining the characteristics that make a house a specific style
    Small Space Décor – concentration on developing actual and visual space
    Space Planning – title blocks to room spaces
    Kitchen Planning – introduction into the many elements that make up a functional kitchen
    Perspective Drawing – development of a room – 1 point to 30 degree isometric drawings
    Cadsoft – from space planning to creating 3D colored presentations – lessons will require a laptop
    Business Readiness – preparation for operating a business
    Project Management – requirements for working on client projects
    Final Project – applying all that you have learned into a completed project
